She is the author and presenter of radio documentaries, including I'm Doing It For Me, an exploration of the reasons underlying the desire for plastic surgery, and What Is A Wife? for Radio 4. Geraldine wrote a memoir about family and architecture, The Handmade House, (Penguin, 2005), and is the author of several novels, most recently The Gulf Between Us (Penguin, 2009), a story about prejudice, set in the Arabian Gulf. She co-edited The New Old Age for NESTA, and wrote the Make Poverty History Handbook. She is getting older.

    What a great article! I am blessed to call Donna my friend. Even more blessed to be the parent of an amazing teenager with medical issues. As blessed as Nicholas is to have Donna and her family to love him unconditionally, the blessing that they have received in return to have Nicholas is a gift that very few of us are lucky enough to witness. It truly is Gods most perfect plan. To wake up everyday and see the reflection of our Lord looking at you, through our childrens eyes, well it leaves you with a feeling of overwhelming gratitude.
